Our waterfront is a people-gathering place. There are countless attractions, shops, nearby restaurants, parks, beaches, and trails for your enjoyment.
Parry Sound is also a bustling harbour for all things watercraft. Everything from kayaks to cruise ships berth at our docks.
Parry Sound Golf & Country Club
Parry Sound Golf & Country Club is an 18-hole golf course just 8 minutes drive from Thunder Creek Homes. Set close to the shores of Parry Sound, you can test your golf skills in the fresh country air and then make new friends at the licenced Fairways Bar & Grill.
Downtown
We wanted to make sure we hit the sweet spot with Thunder Creek Homes: something that was not too far away from nearby restaurants and the downtown centre of Parry Sound but also not so close to being disturbed by the bustling sounds of commerce and traffic.
We think we did it. Parry Sound’s downtown centre is just 1.5 km from Thunder Creek Homes. A 20-minute walk!
Georgian Nordic Activity Centre
The Georgian Nordic Activity Centre is located just 10 minutes from your new home. Enjoy 45 kilometres of year-round activities, including ski and snowshoe trails, mountain biking, hiking, and paddling. All-day passes and membership are also available, as well as ski lessons and ski and bike rentals.
Parry Sound Curling Club
Everything is close to home at Parry Sound. Just a 5-minute drive from home to the Parry Sound Curling Club will have you curling with some of the best. Join as a member, or pay as you play, and get involved with a great winter sport. Parry Sound Curling Club has something for every age.
Sail Parry Sound
Sailing on Parry Sound is unforgettable, with some of the most beautiful natural surroundings in the world. Sail Parry Sound is located on the shores of Parry Sound and is a volunteer-managed club with membership available. The Sail Parry Sound Sailing School also teaches over 300 students every summer and was named the Best in Canada in 2003, and has gained many other prestigious awards.
Festival of the Sound
Festival of the Sound is a world-renowned chamber and classical music festival run annually over the summer. The festival brings in world-class artists and groups from across Canada and provides a full festival of events from classical music to jazz and folk. The Stockey Centre
The Charles W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts, is a 400-seat performance hall on the Bay St waterfront, overlooking the beautiful Georgian Bay. The Stockey Centre is an architecturally designed performance hall that is home to the ‘Festival of the Sound’ in summer and hosts many performances and events throughout the rest of the year.

Public school buses are available, but the furthest school(Saint Peter’s Catholic School) is only a 30-minute walk.
