A Universal Approach to Design
Universal design is the design of buildings, products or environments to make them accessible to all people, regardless of age, disability, or other factors. Care and attention to the universal design principles have been applied wherever possible in the design and construction of Thunder Creek Homes, where stairs are not required.

- Master bedroom ensuites feature showers complete with handheld spray nozzle.
- Some apartments feature curbless (no threshold entry), full tiled showers with glass.
- Guest washrooms feature one-piece tub surround or tile.
- Comfort height toilets throughout.
- Power supply adjacent master bedroom toilets for toilet hygiene accessories.
- Easy open access from main bedroom to ensuite.
- Built-in night lights beside master bathroom toilets.
Outdoors
- Raised garden areas for gardening enthusiasts.
- One step entry/exit.
- Covered porch area(s).

- Electrical outlets 18″ above floor.
- Light switches 42″ above floor.
- Easy to read thermostats.
- Multiple sources of natural light along with lighting options, including under counter LED lighting.
